This year LaVon and her team of volunteers at the Siouxland Humane Society will make close to 13,000 gourmet, double-chocolate apples. The project helps to fund not only the food and shelter given to the animals currently at the SHS, but also the veterinary care that some require, the spay/neuter program, educational classes, adoption outreach, transportation, and so much more.
