GhostCat Pt. 1: Siouxland Public Media's Artist of the Month

GhostCat Album Cover

Angst and young rockers go together like macaroni and cheese.

But instead of enjoying the gooey deliciousness, the musicians are smothered in sticky foreboding feelings of being fed up and betrayed by the world, figuring out life is harder than they thought it would be.

GhostCat’s collective quarter-life crisis produced “Useless Fairytales,” a seven-song EP released in 2014. The Sioux City-based indie-rock band is breaking out of its angst-filled funk with its first full-length album that sets a more positive tone.

“How Infinite the Sky” will be released this Friday with a special show at Anthem, an entertainment venue inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

GhostCat will be joined by special guests Tapwater Shrimp, Port Nocturnal and Druid. Music starts at 9 p.m.
