The Sioux City Growth Organization (SCGO) soliciting new business ideas for the Annual Innovation Market competition set for Thursday, February 16 at the Sioux City Public Museum. SCGO
President Chris Jackson kicked off the search for new innovations yesterday at the museum. Jackson says the innovation market has grown quite a bit over the years.

“Initially, the innovation market started seven years ago with approximately 50 people. In the last seven years it’s really grown, last year I think we had 200-250 people attend the event.”
Jackson says the event will also include speeches from former Innovation Market winners, like Lumin Therapy.

“Lumin Therapy is a local, yoga-based physical therapy program from two local people here in siouxland. Jackson St. Brewery was one of our finalists, one of our winners two years ago. Marto Brewing won last year and he’s hoping to get a space open here in the next year, I would think.”
Innovation Market is giving out 10-thousand dollars in prizes to the winners of the contest. Entrepreneurs can submit their ideas now at www.siouxcitygo.com. Submission closes at midnight on Sunday, February 12th.
