PETER SAGAL, HOST:

We want to remind everyone to join us here most weeks at the Chase Bank Auditorium in downtown Chicago. For tickets and more information: go to wbez.org and you can find a link at our website, waitwait.npr.org.

Right now, panel, time for you to answer some questions about this week's news. PJ, according to a new survey, 75 percent of Americans with mobile phones admitted to using them where?

PJ O'ROURKE: Well, on the toilet.

SAGAL: Yes, in the bathroom.

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

SAGAL: Chances are, ladies and gentleman - it's bad news. Chances are your coworker is not really talking to you from in front of a waterfall.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

SAGAL: According to this new survey, three-fourths of Americans with cell phones admit to using them in the bathroom and the other fourth are lying.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

SAGAL: And it's useful, you know, you want to be able to order the air freshener online as you think of it.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

FAITH SALIE: How do you not? How do you not?

O'ROURKE: How do you not? You turn the damn thing off before you go in there is how do you not.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

O'ROURKE: I don't know, the first that this - you know, I mean it never occurred to me that anyone would use a cell phone in the bathroom. And I'm in LaGuardia and I'm washing my hands and I hear, from inside a stall, I hear, "I love you."

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

O'ROURKE: You know...

CHARLIE PIERCE: For sentimental reasons...

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

O'ROURKE: Oh, I hope he's alone in there.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

SALIE: Well, I'm a lady, so I just tweet on the toilet.
