Volunteers Wanted

The Iowa Radio Reading Information Service (IRIS) is a 24-hour radio news service for the blind. They are currently looking for volunteers to read The Sioux City Journal to be broadcast over the radio for blind and visually impaired Siouxlanders.  The reading is done here at our KWIT-KOJI studios seven days a week from 8 to 9 a.m.  Two readers are scheduled each day. Each volunteer is generally scheduled to read about twice a month.  Scheduling is done on a monthly basis.  If you are interested in volunteering, email your name and phone number to mthompson@kwit.org and the volunteer coordinator will be in contact.  At this time, we are specifically looking for volunteers for Tuesdays and Saturdays. Thank you!
