Sioux City Symphony Orchestra CEO Travis Morgan is the guest host. The SCSO will be performing Disney Fantasia, plus Shot and the Dark does a world premiere, Lamb Theatre takes flight (courtesy of a big ol' peach and some gigantic bugs) and an opening reception at the Sioux City Art Center.
Russell and Diana Wooley, the founders of LAMB Arts Regional Theatre & School, announced a capital campaign to turn Sioux City’s old auditorium, at 625 Douglas St., into the Center for the Performing Arts.
Inspiration can strike from anywhere. Reading the obits one day, Kenneth Jones came across the story of Emily Wheelock Reed, a librarian who lived and worked in Alabama during the 1950's and 60's. Trouble began for her when she added illustrator Garth Williams' book The Rabbits' Wedding to her stacks, a book that portrays the marriage of a black rabbit and a white rabbit.
